    They've only got 2 pre-season games and a packed 66 game season so they don't really have time to just ease into it. You'll probably find most teams will play at around 90% effort for the pre-season until the game is decided or the coaches are happy with what they've seen.

When I looked I expected it to be similar to the Mavs/OKC game; Vets playing small minutes (sans new players) and rookies playing ~30 minutes each. Aside from D Fish it looks like the Lakers were playing their regular season rotations, just trimmed down to 30 minutes a piece.

                It's insane that they got demolished like this with Kobe/Gasol/Bynum all playing so many minutes. I'm not gonna lie, I'd be a little concerned. Not majorly concerned given that by the 4th they probably were just getting their legs under them but still.. That's kind of scary.
