I see a lot of threads to the tune of "Best place for _________ in ________?" So I thought it would be a good idea to get a thread going that compiles noteworthy clothing-related spots in your area.

I live in Richmond Virginia, so here are some of my favorite places:

Thrift stores:

Second Debut by Goodwill - Better than regular good will, they sift through donated items and only put out the good shit. I have found something here nearly every time I've gone.

HalcyonVintage - For all quirky vintage clothing needs.

The Clothes Rack - Another selective thrift store, prices are a little higher than expected, but they usually have good stuff. I have found plenty of Brooks Brothers, etc. here. However, the inside scent bares striking resemblance to a porta potty so giving the clothes you buy a good wash afterwards is even more important than normal.

Other shops:

Fucking Need Supply - Not exactly a "hidden gem," but if you haven't stopped by their brick and mortar shop yet you need to get the fuck in there. They always have all the great new shit and have a few of their own collabs worth checking out. Also a word to the wise, they give a 15 percent discount to Styleforum members which even applies to sale items. So take advantage of that.

Ledbury - I am surprised at how many people in Richmond don't take advantage of this place. They fucking rock. Custom shirts with high quality materials, great cuts and impeccable construction. The shirts come with high-standing collars that nicely frame even the ugliest face. They've also been featured in GQ more than once IIRC.

Franco's - A wonderful place for formal ware. The salesman let you browse around without being annoying twats which is a huge bonus in my book. They carry a lot of high-end brands.

Tailors:

Vincent's - This is IMO the best tailor shop in Virginia. All of the tailors that work here do great work, Vincent in particular. He is an old-world Italian who can be kind of tough to deal with but he really knows what the fuck he's doing. He'll open up once you get to know him. Prices are high, but worth it.

Zimm's - Alan Zimm is another great tailor, I don't think he's as good as Vincent, but it is debatable.

And yes I'm aware Short Pump exists, but I don't think it's possible to live here for 20 minutes and be unaware of it, hence why I left it out.
