For a moment i thought this was a gonewild post, the title fooled me

your undershirt shouldn't be showing because to me it looks a little sloppy so it doesn't matter how deep it is, I find it fun to have a really deep v undershirt on because no one can tell how weird it looks...and it makes me laugh at random points throughout the day. for v neck sweater (personally) i tend to wear a shirt with tie/bow-tie, but i am a fan of collars so this could just be a personal thing that it looks weird to wear a undershirt visible with v neck sweater. american apparel shirts are very high quality and with their multitude of sizes you can find one that fits you perfectly snug. it's a personal preference for those two choice i have a few of both and like them equally. hope that helps...

If you're wearing the v-neck as an undershirt it doesn't matter how deep it is, as long as it's deep enough that it doesn't show.

I haven't heard about the debate of an undershirt's colors but I would just go with a color that doesn't show through your shirt.

Yes, wear a crew neck undershirt with a v-neck sweater. It's redundant and looks weird if you wear a v-neck undershirt. This goes for cardigans, too. You should definitely get some white and black undershirts but you can get any color or just wear a regular crew neck shirt.

What you want to google is heathered grey. Wearing a grey tee underneath a white shirt will show less of an undershirt outline than a white tee.

As for the v, it's not too bad. My personal rule is the imaginary line connecting the nipples. If the v passes that line, then don't wear it.

Several questions but here it goes:

The V is not too deep, as an undershirt or otherwise. I would say it's on the limit though.

As far as undershirts goes, people mean heather grey. Dark colored undershirts are tough to pull off.

Never, ever, ever have an exposed crew-neck undershirt. It never looks cool. Whoever told you that was mistaken.

I disagree with crew necks being seen. It just looks sloppy and tends to be of a lower quality than whatever else you are wearing. Just don't do it, kids.

It looks like a great undershirt for dark clothing. The low V is great as your undershirt should not be showing anyway.

So wearing a white crewneck under a v-neck sweater is a no-no? I've always heard otherwise.

I do it, I mix up the colors too, a pale blue crew neck under a navy blue v neck and such. Collared shirts will in general look better but if you want to look very casual it can be a good look.

If you're just buying them as undershirt, you'll probably save more if you shop at h&m their basic v's are pretty good. V-neck sweaters are begging for a collared shirt, with ir without a crew tee they look kind of sad.

To answer your title, no not necessarily. If used as an actual undershirt, it would depend on the shirt you are wearing over it. If by it self, I don't think it's too low, but maybe someone might make a comment about v-neck douchebaggery (idiots).

White or grey undershirts tend to not matter unless you are wearing a lighter shirt over it and/or you can see through it. In that case, a white undershirt would be appropriate and would be less noticeable.

You can wear a crew neck shirt under a v-neck, just have to match up the colors. People tend to say white is boring or sticks out in a bad way, so play around with different colors.

Shirt is too big.
