Fellow Gaymers,

The Captains and I are hosting the Chicago Gaymer Meatup. A lot of planning has been done in the background and I think we have the foundation set for a good 3 day weekend. There is still more work to do and if you haven't registered yet but plan on coming check the all purpose RSVP Form and answer as many questions as possible. If you have registered please check it again. There are new questions and tabs based on events, etc. The more details the better.

Details:

• Location: Chicago (I hope we that one covered)
• Dates/Times: February 17th, 18th and 19th. See the agenda for a full schedule. I don't anticipate a lot of changes but don't be surprised if there are some minor adjustments. A special shout out goes to LulzAndHappiness, our Adventure Captain, who has done a lot of background work to plan special events for everyone.
• Captains: We have pretty much set all of the Captains but we may need to tap on some others for special help. We've had offers from bringing gaming equipment, food, housing, etc. Coordinate with the gayming Captains on your own as they hold special god-like powers to make these things happen. And... keep the offers coming. All help is good help and if we are full up in a particular area we'll let you know. Of particular interest is our Housing Captain thisispiper who is helping to coordinate places for people to stay. Due to the sheer amount of people coming I can't accommodate everyone at my place who plans on crashing. She is helping others find places to stay.
• Housing: Carrying on from my note above if you do not have confirmed housing talk to piper. Others have started looking at AirBnB (search ZIP Code 60625) for inexpensive neighborhood options of quality.
• Money: The one topic most people hate. So I'm trying to keep things cheap and will be providing as much as I can at no cost so gaymers can have fun etc. The two things you need to know are you are responsible for your own food, alcohol and transportation costs at certain events (check the guide) and I'm trying to keep this cheap so those who feel inclined will donate to the Trevor Project... a LGBT charity will be raising money for throughout the weekend. That's all I'll say about that.

I can't express how happy I am that you are all coming to this event. It's ambitious and a lot of work with this many people but it's the kind of thing I love and I can't wait to meet those of you I haven't yet and see old/new friends again.

EDIT 1: BTW, please be careful editing the spreadsheet. Some mistakes have been made mass updating it and we had to restore a previous version which killed some valid changes made by people.
