I've always disliked Ginny Weasley, to be honest. Her relationship with Harry felt forced, especially in the 6th book. At first, she was a cute kid with a crush (who we barely read about) and then---BAM!---she turns into this funny, spunky, attractive girl with guys chasing after her. Ginny’s character development never felt real to me, and when reading the books, I felt her only purpose was to be designed as Harry’s ideal woman.

EDIT: I understand that J.K. Rowling's intention was to portray Ginny as growing up and maturing between books behind-the-scenes, but what bothered me was the way that she depicted it. I thought it was poor writing that of all the romances written about in the books, the one relationship that lacked focus was Harry's. If she wanted a Weasley family ending, then there should have been at least more focus on Ginny as a character and her interactions with Harry. In books 2-4 she was barely seen, and the 5th book mentioned "getting over her crush on harry" just once.

If she was destined to be Harry's love interest, then why was she pushed to the background so much---to the point where I had no connection to her as a character? I know it's different for every reader, but I guess that's why I dislike Harry/Ginny so much, because I didn't find it convincing and it seemed to come out of nowhere.
