I tried posting this in Pics, but they don't take text links. If this is the wrong place for this post, just let me know where to move it! Thanks!
The Actual Gift It's a Venn Diagram made from two hearts. The pink half holds things she likes and the blue one holds things I like. In the center are the things we enjoy doing together.
My Half It has a (from the top left going to the right) A picture of her (glared out by accident), A laptop, A card that represents my love of writing, a beagle puppy, some various RPG dice, the Geocaching logo, a book, a game controller connected to a TV, the PC Gamer Logo, and finally a plastic army man gunning down a zombie (because I love games and movies themed around zombies).
Her Half Starting from the top left going right, it has the Japanese Kanji for "Japanese Language" (she loves her Japanese class), a picture of me, a chef's hat and a cooking spoon (she loves to cook - wants to own her own restaurant someday), a picture of some foxes (her favorite animal), some paintbrushes and an art pallet (she's an art major after all), kittens (she loooves cats), the Lord of the Rings Online logo (her favorite game), a jar of Nutella, and music.
The Center Starting from the top going from right to left, there is a picture of us as a couple, Full Metal Alchemist, Kissing, A fork and spoon (she's a fantastic cook, eating out at new places is a favorite date for us), a movie ticket stub (our second favorite date), a Magic the Gathering card (Stonework Puma for anyone wondering), a cross (we're both Christians), bacon, hedgehogs (it's a running theme in our relationship due to an inside joke - the word hedgehog means "happy" to us now), watching TV together, and Legos.
The card on my half was for writing. Opened, it has a bunch of titles for stories I've written.
This was a close-up shot of the Book I put on there for reading, so you can see it better. It’s made out of cardboard wrapped in construction paper. Both pieces are holding several sheets of blank paper.
The Paintbrushes and cooking spoon are real so they kind of pop-out of the board.
For those wondering, the poem on the bottom of the board (I used bullet points so I wouldn't ruin the flow in the format of the text) reads, from right to left:
- The things inside you love so much,
- You love to see, do, and touch.
- Some overlay with what I enjoy,
- Even if book, movie, or toy.
- And the places our hearts meet,
- Is like a kiss, soft and sweet.
- Something to enjoy and remind,
- That my love won't stand in front or behind.
- But she will stand firm and fine,
- By my side, her hand in mine.
