I hate these fucking hamsters. I bought 3 of them at petsmart about a year ago and at first they were pretty fun. Then they started having sex and there were like 20 hamsters I had to take care of, they eat all the time. One day I got home from classes and I went to go check on them, there were like 6 hamster fucking eating a smaller one. They did this everyday until there were only two left, then those two fucked and it started the cycle again. Fucking horny cannibal hamsters.

Edit: To clarify the lady at petsmart said they were all brothers from the same litter, I was originally going to buy one but I didn't have the heart to separate them.

Hamsters will usually only cannibalize their young if they feel threatened or overcrowded. Having 20 hamsters in one cage is a sure way to make them feel overcrowded. If you had separated them at birth, you probably wouldn't have had them eating each other.

PetCo or PetSmart employees are not the most reliable. As soon as you noticed one was pregnant, you should have separated them, and once the litter was born, you should have taken the babies to a vet to sex them and keep them separated.

You appear to be either very irresponsible or very uninformed. If the former, please stop owning pets. If the latter, please educate yourself on your pets.

Are these russian dwarf hamsters? Looks like it. I've got one, he used to look stupidly cute whenever he kept his head outside his bed. Nowadays he just sleeps in the corner of the cage, which annoys me to no end, especially when he has a nice, clean comfortable bed instead.
